At ukphonebook.com, we know how to help people find people – whether they're looking for an address to send a Christmas card or just need to check a postcode for an online delivery.
So, we've set ourselves a festive challenge – find the address and phone number of the world’s most elusive person. Santa Claus.
Yes, we're going to try and find Father Christmas’s address and phone number using our massive data set.
Here we go-ho-ho.
What is Santa's address?
Santa's address is notoriously hard to find. Experts even struggle to agree the country he and his elves live and work in, with suggestions including North Pole, Lapland and, even, Reindeerland. We used our People Search function to try and narrow down the results. The first hurdle was what’s his name? Santa Claus? Father Christmas? Saint Nick?
With our Person Finder we can check over 76 million records from electoral rolls, telephone directory, Companies House and more.
Sadly, Reindeerland proved to be a dead end. Others suggest Santa's address is 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888. But again, no luck. The jolly old fellow was proving more elusive than we'd thought.
What is Santa's post code?
We tried the various potential address of Father Christmas to find his postcode through our Postcode Finder tool.
Neither Santa's Grotto, Reindeerland or 123 Elf Road, North Pole were registered. We even tried adding the alleged post code of Santa - XM4 5HQ - into our tools. Again, no results were found.
Could Father Christmas be using his magic to keep his actual location hidden? Then we realised our mistake. While ukphonebook.com is one of the most comprehensive and up to date databases for UK addresses, our reach doesn’t go as far as the Arctic Circle.
We tried one last option – maybe Santa is the director of a company. It makes sense as he clearly runs a huge factory. So, we tried to find Company Information. And we got some results!
There were 9 listed companies in the UK using the ‘Santa Claus’ name, ranging from Santa Claus Limited to The Santa Claus Grotto Ltd – could one of these be the holding company for the big man’s activities?
On further investigation, none of the directors of these companies fitted the description. Another dead end.
How to address a letter to Santa?
Father Christmas, Santa's Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ is usually the best address. But honestly, it doesn’t matter. Santa knows.
As long as you’ve got his name on your letter, he’ll get the message – that’s how Christmas magic works. If you and your family want a little inspiration for other possible Santa addresses, how about the following:
- 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888
- Santa, The North Pole
- Father Christmas, Christmas Land, SAN TA1
What is Santa’s phone number?
After much research we’ve come to the conclusion that Santa doesn’t have a phone. Why would he? He has magic, he knows what everyone is doing, and he gets all his information from the letters to Santa.
We tried searching our database of 3.6 million phone numbers for Santa and his various monikers. But there was no listing for Santa Claus, Father Christmas or, even, Saint Nicholas (though we did find over 34 records for ‘Nicholas Saint’ in London – could one of these be the address of Santa’s summer house?).
If you or your kids do get a call claiming to be from Santa Claus, you can always check it on our Mobile Number Check. And let us know if it’s him.
